VaricamLT: Camera mic mount

Hello all. I just bought a Varicam LT (from this forum!) and I had a question about adding my shotgun mic to it. I can see from the pictures that the top handle has a few mounting points, but I need the front most 1/4” thread for a front mounted light when necessary. I see that Panasonic sells an expensive version that mounts on to the top of the body via 2 small screws. Just wanted to know how users are mounting their shotgun mics on the LT. I wanted to buy something so that it can arrive at the same time the camera does because I have a project soon after. Thanks!

EDIT: New question that would solve the issue. Does anyone know if the Zacuto top cheese plate + handle allow for the factory evf to be mounted on it? I spoke to Zacuto and they don’t know.

Not sure how you're configured for rod holders/ adapters, but for my EVA1 I didn't want the original mic holder on the camera (doesn't pack well) -- so I got the SmallRig mic mount that attaches to a 15mm rod:

In my case I keep a cheese plate on top of the camera and use a small 15mm rod mount - which I installed so the rod is perpendicular to the lens - and if I use a longer rod (such as 8") the same rod can hold an EVF on the operator side of the camera and the mic mount on the assistant side.

I saw the option for cheese plate and smaller handle. That would be the logical solution since it adds more mounting points, but I don’t know how the Panasonic evf mounts to it. I’ve tried looking online and I can’t find anyone who's done it. All the ones I see have the top cheese plate and add the 15mm rod to the handle but use a Zacuto Evf vía the axis mini arm (Arri rosette mount).

In looking at the images online, it appears to me that the correct holes are on the Zacuto top plate to mount the Panasonic EVF bracket. I don't know if they're threaded so you may have to go to the hardware store for some longer bolts. I also took a quick look at the Wooden Camera top plate and I'm pretty sure it also has the additional holes for the viewfinder.
