I shot a wedding recently and used a wireless and had the intention of using my 2nd channel as well. now when i capture in scenelyzer i can't seem to separate the audio...i did however film 48k 16bit. am i pretty much stuck with what i have or is there a workaround?

I'm assuming that you mean the wireless was recorded to one channel and the on-camera mic to the other?

Scenalyzer is merely a capture program, and probably just captured the video with a linked pair (they call it "stereo," but in this case it is not stereo but dual mono). What are you using to edit? All you have to do is split the two audio channels apart (deselect "stereo pair," "unlink," whatever your NLE offers) into independent audio channels... then edit and mix as you need.

When you import a video into Premiere, it'll separate the audio and the video automatically. To edit them separately you need to "un-group" them.

It's in one of the drop menu menus once you've got the clip selected.

What you need to do is to apply the "Fill Left" or "Fill right" filter to the audio clip. Then you can pick which channel to be used.

I got it, was a pretty simple adjustment in the 'preferences' or 'option' setting, can't remember which one, but it captured both tracks and i can cut it as i need. First time i've ever had to do that. I think I Fu*ked up my film in the way that I captured the audio, oh well now i know for next time.
