Anyone know of a small-ish camera jib (4 ft. or shorter) that has the ability to lock it's position at different heights?

I'm not sure this helps but the EZJib has a baby mount so you can swing a c-stand or a light stand in to lock it. See picture D http://ezfx.com/junior-jib/

The Kessler jibs will lock, though just enough to keep the jib from wobbling or moving on it's own (with a little force you can still move the jib while locked). I can't recommend the Kessler stuff highly enough for the price.

to my knowledge no jib will perfectly "lock". BUT if properly balanced, a jib SHOULD stay where and as you left it unless it's bumped. not to say that some jib out there may not have a "parking brake" of sort. but that wouldnt keep the length of the arm from buffetting a bit if the rig was jolted in any way

Nice! Thanks Bern. A little confused on the jib tripod and camera mount. The little popup window that explains the options doesn't seem to coincide with the actual options. Confused on the usability if you select none for the tripod mount. Not to mention, pretty dang pricey. At least for me anyway.. Feels a little nickel and dimey to not include the case... I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks.
