I'm having a problem during tape switching or putting in new tape, or turning power off with the tape inside
When I put in a new tape, my camera lags now when it comes to record. (It won't)
It will have the red dot flashing like it's about to record, but timecode stays at 00:00.
I have to switch to VTR mode real quick, then switch back to record, and I press record, the tape starts recording.
Now, when I shut the camera off, say I recorded 00:03:24:12.
When I shut it off, the camera shows TC at 00:00:00:00
Again, I have to switch to VTR mode, then back to record, and TC displays normally again.
Any ideas what could be wrong? I wanted to get some opinions before having to send it in.
I threw in a cleaner tape for a few sec (emergency) at 1 point awhile ago, but the problem began before that.
