Camera in early March?

I just got told by the local dealer here that Panasonic told him to expect cameras beginning of March. Kind of was hoping it would be beginning of February. Anyone else got the same info? Know of a good deal or dealers expecting until earlier?

It is kind of a blessing to have the time to save more cash, but I have a spending/savings problem and with this much time, I might be tempted to pick up some other gear. I even thought of buying the Sony HD and then selling it on Ebay when the HVX arrives.

What's keeping others in check? Maybe I should take up fire swallowing or chess...? Or maye Russian Roulette?


Itching to buy with the money is friggin' worse than being broke and blah blah blah...

Don't buy a Sony now and sell later. Do you really need HD now? If you have a friend that has a camera, ask to borrow it. In the meantime, work on your scripts, save money, get a pedicure. The HVX will be here. It sucks, I know, but after you get it you will forget that you even had to wait for it. I've also been told, late February, early March. If Panasonic is smooth with their shipping, hopefully we will see these things arrive on time, becasue there is nothing worse than getting a date and not having it met..

That is wise advice. I am just now at the point where I've done my scripting... I guess I'll just concentrate on assembling a cast a bit earlier than I had planned.

Good advice from a level head. If it's the same story in March.. then it might be pandamonium.(sp)?
