Camera housing

Has anyone used camera housing for under water filming with their Canon 5d? I'm looking for something that isn't to costly. Only need it for one day filming.

Hello,

I have successfully used this one about a year ago:

After watching this:

It was for a vacation and I didn't want to spend too much money. It is not meant to go too deep. Make sure to follow the tips people have provided about using it, like settings everything before closing it, doing a test first without the camera, pressing the front glass properly on the lens, etc. Just be aware that this housing works with my 5D mark iii, but not with the battery grip.

I was pleased with the footage.

I used the larger version of what chjoly linked to (the WP-S10). I didn't really go put it in water though, just used it as a backup in case I dropped my camera while on a canoe. It seemed to work. Always test these bags ahead of time without a camera in them.

As far as quality it seemed acceptable. The ergonomics are a pain to deal with but for a one day thing it might do the trick.

I'll sell you mine if your interested (I got a g16 that I plan on using for underwater stuff so don't need it anymore). PM me if your interested.

read customer reviews for these types of bags and make sure there are a lot of them to get a accurate representation. Is saving $30 ultimately worth the potential of a leak?
