My 2008 DVX 100b is suddenly dead to the world. Desperately need help as I'm on location in a remote area!

The camera hasn't been used in around 1 year. Was well-maintained and used for maybe 150 hours prior to this. Kept in a cool, dark, dry place.

Now, the camera does not turn on. Tried with 3 charged batteries. Tried to plug it in with the AC adapter. Nothing works. It doesn't react at all when I switch from OFF to ON. Reset button also has no effect.

(Previously had an auto-reel lock problem that was fixed by Panasonic in June 2009, the last time the camera was touched.)

Anyone hear of this problem?

Thanks so much!

Hi Anna,

It sounds like a bad fuse on the power board. This repair would have to be done by an authorized service centre. The repair would have to go to Panasonic or Intercite.

Hi Anna,
We are a Panasonic Authorized Service Center for DVX100 model. Most likely your camera has a problem with internal power board and should be serviced by a trained technician. We will be glad to help recover your camera to it's full functionality. We are located in Los angeles.
Regards,
Eric
