GH4 Camera cage on gimbal?

Many mention the **** quality of the micro HDMI port on the GH4. How does one mount a GH4 + monitor on one of these gimbals? There doesn't seem to be enough room to use a camera cage with a hdmi lock (Honu).

It seems like if you go raw cable to monitor attached to gimbal, it would easily be yanked out during shooting.

Anyone have any knowledge on this matter?

I successfully used the DJI Ronin with a Viewfactor Contineo GH4 cage, and mounted a Small HD AC7 monitor to the top bar with the supplied accessory clamp. I kept the HDMI cord secured in the camera with the Viewfactor HDMI clamp. I left some slack in the cable, and wrapped the excess around the monitor arm mount. It took a while to get it balanced with the wired cable, but it was worth the extra work.

I'm going to see if I can print a similar solution with my 3D Printer (just don't have time at the moment!)

- But I agree, haven't seen anything similar to the LockPort - perhaps thats why the price is a bit high! :)

The Kung Fu Cinema System cage (available exclusively at Hot Rod Cameras, and right now- only in person or by phone) has a proper HDMI cable lock and is 100% compatible with the Ronin M, it actually provides additional adjustment for gimbal balance not found on any other cage system in existence. We're not doing any serious public promotion until the video is done, so it's all word of mouth. Compatible with GH4 and A7s, we have one on a Ronin M in our showroom.

Hi Guys

Are there any gimbals that support the YAGH too as I've taken mine off the camera 3 times (made sure camera and YAGH were turned off) and have had to send it back to Panasonic to be repaired as it no longer turns on?

Regards

Ronin works. This pic is from the official Ronin ad with a GH4/YAGH/Hot Rod PL mount with YAGH PL support.

Disclaimer- Hot Rod Cameras, my company, sells Ronins and invented the PL mount for MFT, and the only YAGH PL support in the world.
