I bought this from a very handy guy that makes a lot of his own stuff. I had used it primarily with my canon 7D.
It has 1/4 20 threaded holes at each tip, as well as two 1/4 20 threaded holes and two non-threaded holes on the base plate.
The dimensions:
Each of the two plates is 4" (4 3/4" at the tips) x 4 1/2"
Height between the two plates is 4 3/4"
Width from handle edge to edge is around 9"
Overall height of the cage is shy of 6"
The handles are wooden and covered with foam grips.
I have used it and there is some paint missing. It works great and serves it's purpose.
