Camera Bag for HPX500

Thanks to everyone who responded with their input. I think I'm settled on the P2HD bag from Porta Brace. I'd rather not detach the lens from the camera for transport. This bag looks like it was made specifially for the HPX line of cameras anyways.

I think that bag will serve you well. I do think you will find that on certain planes it might not fit in the seat in front of you, or in the overhead compartment. In that situation, I think the PortaBrace Smuggler is your best bet.

When it comes to those planes, what I did was to take the camera in the case out to the plane, then I would gate check the bag after pulling out the camera. The camera would sit under the seat in front of me. On one plane, and I don't remember which one it was I had to give the camera to the stewardess who bundled it carefully and put it in the first class cabin somewhere. But as I said that was really rare, one time in the last four years, for the rest of the time the P2HD case would be perfect.
