I have spent hours trying to find if there is something out there that will let me preview the gh2 camera raw2 file just like the preview for the mac. Does anybody have any suggestions?
huh you want to have a thumbnail preview of a RAW file? normally that's why ppl take a jpg along with the RAW for that purpose either that or load it into a photo organizer
The GH1 raw and Canon raw files and Nikon raw allow you to click on the raw file, hit the space bar and bam! A quick preview without having to launch any software. GH2 files can't be viewed this way even with Snow Leopard. Shooting RAW and jpg simultaneuously is the most inefficient way to just get a quick reference preview. That's fine if you're planning to upload unretouched photos quickly to a photoserver or to someone who can't process raw/etc but a massive waste of your cards bandwidth and space if you plan on only working raw.
Maxdepth - do you have lightroom or aperture? Have you tried Adobe Bridge? Apparently the GH2's raw preview is not yet supported by OSX if only the generic raw icon is showing. It'll just be a matter of time before it is.
