Came-TV 7500

Anybody here got any experience using the Came-TV 7500 gimbal with the A7 cameras?

I'm eagerly awaiting reviews of the Nebula 4200 but it looks like it may not be ready by the time I start shooting the TV show I'd like it for. The Came-TV 7500 seems to be the next best thing in terms of small, cheap gimbals, but I'm not finding many proper user reviews.

It'll only be for very occasional shots and there's lots of travel involved, so easy packing/re-balancing is something that is a priority and I am particularly keen for information on.

I think I need to rephrase my question a little bit here:

What gimbals are people using with the A7's. I take it the Ronin-M is the leader in this arena, so what does it offer that the others do not?

I love our Defy G2X with our A7S. Never used a Ronin but the G2X does everything we need. Super easy to balance, no microshakes.

I have a Ronin M and want to sell it. It is easy to pick up and use but I just have too much equipment for a solo wedding shooter. Ronin M is the leader probably because DJI is the most recognized brand.

I love my came single setup with my a7sii! I typically use it with 28mm f2 sony lens. Also had some success with rokinon 50mm t1.5 but had to focus my strength on keeping the gimbal level with both hands to avoid horizon bobbing and 1-2% stabilizer is required in premiere when using the 50mm. But man.. when you see the shots that can come out of it combined with the portability, you wonder why anyone is still buying giant gimbals for these small cameras.

What lens would you use with a Sony A7S ii when paired with the came TV? I have a Sigma 18-35. Came TV says max payload is 2.6lbs. I'm assuming my Sigma wouldn't work.

i notice B&H has the Came TV Single as "Discontinued" and direct to a new link with the name " CAME-TV 3 HH CAMERA GIMBAL w/INTRNAL BATT" at the same price of $988.00. it says Availability: More Coming Soon.
[h=3][/h]even on the CameTV website it makes no mention of this new "HH" model.

does anyone know what this is? whats the difference?

thanks
david

I think the original version had a removable battery. They discontinued that and replaced it with a non-removable rechargeable one.

wow. having a non removable battery seems like a downgrade doesnt it? i know the batteries are supposed to last long but...?
