Calvin, My Boy!

Sorta a shameless plug, and certainly nothing to go crazy about artistically, but I figured it was worth posting for fun. There's a Nikon 50mm F1.4 on there at F5.6 and it's still that shallow.

Re: Calvin, My Boy!

Congrats on your little dude. Pin sharp image. Slap it on the tripod next time. Best wishes with your newborn. And, as a father of a two girls myself, kiss your filmmaking career goodbye! :crybaby: But some things are more important, right?

It's so true on so many levels. Kids have a real way of diverting our attention.

Love the photo, Kyle. Don't be too discouraged about SignalPix's comment. But also don't shrug it off. You can't help but be naive about parenting if you haven't done it yet. It WILL change things. It will slow you down and speed you up...both at the same time...but not always in the ways you want.

Keep on running the race! You're off to an amazing start!!

Making a feature next fall is going to be a challenge with a baby under 1, but that's the game.

I was lucky when I did my first that I could get it done, and sold, and marketed, etc. mostly while I wasn't even dating let alone married. Now that that's out there and selling, I'm married and the baby is on the way. :O

Can't stop now though. Family and work is always a tough thing to balance, but if you're interested in doing this for real that's just the way it goes. :)
