Calibrating & Stabilizing the Flycam

I recently purchased the Flycam 3000 and am having trouble learning how to actually get it to properly balance and have that "flying" look. I've watched several test videos on YouTube, and they all have that "flying/gliding" look which I'm attempting to achieve. I know some people are going to say that it's junk and to get rid of it, etc. But at the moment, I can't afford a Merlin or anything like that. I will probably upgrade to a Glidecam HD later on when I feel like I need it, but for the meantime, I need this unit to just get the job done on very few shots. Does anybody have any experience or advice on how to get it fully stabalized?

Cristina Valdivieso explains how to calibrate the glidecams here: http://vimeo.com/15300979
If you have a properly made copy of the real glidecam (so it seems), it's the same thing.

(......before the "experts" starts bashing you for buying a ripoff)

It would help if you could explain where you're having the problems.Yes the Flycam is at the lower end of the food chain, but it can be made to work.A few specifics of your problems will help.

Send me a PM with the details.
