Calibrated{Q} MXF Import?

About Calibrated{Q} MXF Import
Calibrated{Q} MXF Import is a QuickTime plug-in for NATIVE Importing and Editing of MXF Files within Final Cut Pro 6.0 and above. Calibrated{Q} MXF Import v1.2 supports the following MXF Files:

Panasonic P2 MXF Files (with separate video and audio tracks seen as 1 file):
- AVC-Intra
- DVCProHD
- DV50
- DV25

Sony XDCAM:
- XDCAM HD (35Mb and 25Mb)**
- XDCAM HD 422**
- IMX*
- DV25

Select OP1a:
- DVCProHD
- DV50
- DV25
- IMX*

Finally you can enjoy the freedom of native editing in Final Cut Pro without the need for Logging and Encoding, or creating QuickTime Reference Movies.

Calibrated Software’s unique solution successfully joins the separate video and audio P2 MXF files so that Final Cut Pro sees them all as ONE file - complete with TimeCode and Reel Name. PullDown can also be removed or added for select frame rates.

And you’re not just limited to Final Cut Pro, you can also natively import files in Compressor, Motion, Sound Track Pro, QuickTime Player and Shake.

(*IMX Audio is not supported)

(**XDCAM MXF files will take longer to open due to the long-GOP MPEG2 structure which may make it unsuitable for some long form projects in FCP.)

What’s New in this Version
- P2 AVC-Intra Support
- XDCAM MXF Support
- IMX MXF Support
- Flip Image
- New GUI for Options

Yeah, it works. I prefer this to Raylight, as it is cheaper and the workflow is slightly better. ALthough Raylight allows you to look at your metadata as a slate on frame 2 of your footage. There are other better options out there (MXF4QT), but they are more expensive. THis works fine.

Going to get this next week. It will be especially helpful to the company because one of the macs can't log and transfer mxf files for some weird reason that we haven't been able to figure out.
