C700 ff

I'm just not a fan of Canon. It will probably do some great work in the right hands but I will never invest in Canon gear again. I loved the XL1 and XL2 way way back in the day when they were relevant but after that i just couldn't get into how the canon's perceived skin tones and some colors. Sony, Panasonic and Arri are my 3 favs. Best of luck to canon though with this new cam.
 
I think there are enough fans of Canon's look that this camera will do ok in the rental market, but that's just a guess. I certainly don't expect it to fly off the shelves, but it's probably going to get used for some high end work. It's going to be a tough sell vs a Varicam 35, Venice, any flavor of Alexa, or a Monstro though. I suppose Panasonic will be next out the gate with a full-frame Varicam.
