Simple question but can't readily find an answer- anyone using the Sigma 24-105 against and Canon cinema cam? If so, is there current firmware to allow electronic aperture control of this lens from the cam body?

Let me rephrase since there is updated firmware for both. Is there a reason or workaround or some consumer-logic why the C100/II doesn't allow for lock-down of the PUSH AUTO IRIS function? I know it says "Push" but excluding all non-EF lens from continuous auto iris seems a little rough. The Sigma has plenty of "granularity" in iris control as well as the C100 (in fine mode)...

OK, 3 months later- can anyone explain to me (because I'm not bright enough to figure it out) why the C100/II cannot send continuous auto-iris commands to this lens? The lens itself is outstanding on a C100 but I cannot continue working with only full manual or Push-iris functionality.

I don't think there is a workaround on this, and actually I am pretty pissed abut that. Aside from the auto aperture not functioning on aftermarket lenses, the face tracking doesn't work on them either. They DO work on my 70D; but not the C100 mk2. Why, oh why??? Well, we all know Canon only releases profiles for THEIR lenses to be loaded into the camera. I suspect the camera is fully capable of functioning with third party lenses but Canon is being "protectionist" and trying to steer people to using THEIR lenses. Maybe someone will come up with a hack for this, but the lack of compatibility with regards to this feature sets is a big disappointment to me.

Having owned the C100 mkii, the auto iris function only works with STM ZOOM lenses.... So the 10-18...18-135 and 55-250....oh and the 18-55. Because they all ramp when zooming, you have the correction in camera, but you can also turn on auto exposure. Works the same in the C300 mkii with STM and cine servo.
