C-Stand For Reflector, Or?

I'm not sure what to buy as a stand for a reflector. I'm going to use a C-Stand for a hair light so I was thinking of just using a C-Stand for the reflector as well. Problem is that I'm not sure if there's an additional arm attachment or some kind of clamps that I'll need to get it right.

http://normsgrip.com/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=29824 - I'll be using this as a hair light. If I get two of these, can I buy some sort of clamps to attach to this that will hold a 43" reflector?

What kind of reflector?

The ones I use are the 4x4 silver yoked reflectors. Those have junior pins which go in low-rollers or larger lighting stands. They do not go in c-stands, which are baby pin.

They look like this:

You could use a C-stand w/arm & grip head to hold that reflector.

By the way, I have a few self made 4x4's that I setup baby, & they come in handy when you run out of junior or combo stands and still need reflectors.

If you want to use a simple bounce card or 4x4 reflector - the kind like insulation - you can get a couple cartolini or duckbill clamps, which have a baby pin and will fit on any C-stand grip head. Google them and you'll see find some at a decent price.

So is the stand that I posted a link to something that'll work for a reflector? I'm not sure if I'll need some extra clamps or something to actually hold the reflector. Just any standard grip head will work like these? - http://www.bhphotovideo.com/buy/Grip-Heads/N/4294550781 - I was thinking more along the lines of clamps, but if this'll work then I'll try it out.

I wanted a C-Stand for it since not only can I use it for a reflector, I can have it on hand for other purposes. Just not sure which clamps to get and if that's all I'll need for the reflector I posted a link to earlier.

Like Ryan said, it depends on the reflector. The stand you linked is the standard run-of-the-mill 40" C-stand with grip heads. Grip heads only accept "baby" pins. The reflector Ryan linked has a "junior" receiver, so it would need a bigger stand like a senior roller with a junior pin to fly the reflector.

The 5-in-1 reflector kit you linked is not meant to be rigged, but I've done and it's not unacceptable. You can make it work by pinching it with a grip head (which comes with the C-stand you linked in your first post). So, yes, the stand you linked will work.

If you want to use a reflector board, which is going to be a lot bigger, focusable, easier to control, and is more standard on a set, you can bite it with a grip head or use a cardellini clamp or duckbill, both of which have baby pins and will fit on a normal grip head. You could also use them to hold up your 5-in-1 reflector kit.

So I probably won't need anything at all for the C-Stand I linked correct? If a scenario arises that I do, I'm going to imagine that I can just freestyle it and get some kind of cheap clamp contraptions to hold the reflector. I'm talking about the 5-in-1. All I need to do is get it to stay where I want it and go, so there's no complicated positioning or anything. I think I'll get another C-Stand and try my chances with it.

Filmtools is a great place but some of their prices are considerably more marked up than, say, B&H. Witness the price on the Quaker Clamp.

The easiest way to go on the cheap? C-stand with a grip head on top; insert the arm (the one with a fixed grip head on the end) so it's at 90 degrees;

Open up the grip head (the one fixed to the end of the arm) a stick a piece of foamcore in, up to 2x3 or so, and clamp it in.

Use the grip head on the stand to angle the reflector.

This also is great when you're flagging with black foamcore.

Something like this:
