c-stand cart

The cheapest i can find is Modern Studio cart at $375 which by itself not too expensive but still with $250 freight charge the cart comes to about $600. Anyone can provide better solutions to carry the stands around alternatively know solutions closer to NYC?
 
Maybe try a rental house getting rid of their old C-stand carts. How many do you want to carry? Do you have a truck with a liftgate? Or how do you plan on hauling this cart around? Would you like something that maybe carries milkcrates or something else besides c-stands, or just strictly c-stands?

Another vendor to checkout is Backstage Studio Equipment...they have a bunch of great carts, but they're also located in LA.
 
I build my own. I start with a very heavy duty hand truck (about $100). I then weld a cage to it with to swiveling front wheels. I will see if I have any photos. When all is said and done I san carry twenty c-stands on a cart I have invested about $200 in.

I found an older picture. I now build them and remove the tires that come with the hand truck and replace them with balloon tires from Harbor Freight. Sorry about the awful Iphone photo. Next time I am at the shop I will take some detailed shots.
