C-mount zoom lens on GH2 goes soft when zooming.

Using a C-mount adaptor with my GH2 I have mounted a 25-100mm, f-1.8 Canon TV Zoom lens. As I zoom out or in it goes soft. At first I suspected the lens. Today I did a test with a 12-120mm, Angenieux, with the C-mount and with the same results. Then I thought it was the C-mount adaptor so I purchased an expensive one from Metabones and I had the same results. As anyone else run across this problem?

I have several c-mount zooms. Do you mean when you zoom in or out, the picture goes out of focus? THat's normal with most of these lenses. Don't bother asking why! They tend to also give sharper image when you stop down to f/4+
You will also need to modify the 25-100 for proper infinity focusing.

if its a lens that is supposed to keep focus (ie a TV lens like you mention, not an slr) then it means your back focus is out...

if you google it there will no doubt be a guide to repairing it..
