GH4 C-Mount lens on GH4

Anybody here with a GH4 and C-mount lens? Zooms or primes? I've read that in 4K the crop mode is smaller than the GH3 so there is an increased chance that more C Mt lenses can be used, including 2/3rd lens. Is that true? Has anybody actually tried it? Would love to see some screen grabs or stills?

I just tried my Angenieux 15-150mm F2.8 c-mount lens tonight on the GH4 in 4K. I had to enable a digital crop factor of 2x to eliminate vignetting.

Actually, my 15-150mm covers the entire sensor in 4K with no crop needed and is usable for the entire range, tomorrow's test is to see whether it's sharp enough.

So you tried it the first time and it vignetted, but the second time it didn't?

Let me chime in here. I also have an Angenieux 15-150, B-Mount, left over from my Super-16 days. I also have an Arri B to M43 adapter that I have for my BMPCC. I just tried the combo on my GH4 and it DOES work in 4K. There is a restriction though...you can't focus closer than about 7 feet (normally goes as close as 5 ft.), or it starts to vignette.

None of the 1080P modes work though...they all vignette like crazy, since those modes use the full width of the sensor (I guess) instead of the 4K crop.

This opens up a bunch of lenses that I have from the past. I wonder if those great Canon 8-64mm S-16 lenses work...or the later and even better Canon and Angenieux 11.5-138mm. Anyone?

Thanks,

Are you selling them Larry? :p :D

Seriously though yes they should work fine.

No, Sorry, I guess I wasn't clear...I don't own the Canon 8-64mm, the 11.5-138mm or the Ang 11.5-138. I was wondering if anyone reading does own them and can test them. My sense of it is that they may not cover the 4K crop as the Ang. 15-150 is very close to not covering it at all.
