GH2 C-Mount, Arriflex, 16mm Cine lens progress?

Surely the ex-tele crop is what the GH2 does best - basically an 'honest' sensor size for HDSLR video - no rolling shutter / moire compromise?

Fair enough you don't get the wide angles but a ~ 58mm shot is perfectly doable with the 14mm and 35mm if you've got the 7mm.

Does anyone out there shoot entirely in ex-tele mode?

Does anyone have any more developments re. treating the GH2 as a super 16 camera.

I recently stuck an Angenieux 20x zoom on the gh2 - have a look:

that's my plan, but I don't have one yet. I'd been tempted by the cheap GH1's, but then remembered my 16mm glass that I'd like to give a whirl again. Life is not all played out in the shallow view.

Christ, that is a humongous lens. How does that vignette?
I have some c-mount zooms that need to be used in tele mode, especially for those with severe vignetting.
I don't think you could really do any more to 'develop' the GH2. The tele mode is perfect for using 16/S16 lenses. It's the focusing issues that would bog people down. Most mounts of these zoom lenses are too far from the sensor and can only do macro at wider angles. Tele angles seem to be better

In normal mode it Vignettes significantly at the wide end (12mm), not much at the telephoto lens (240mm). In Extele crop (assuming a 5x crop) its a 60mm - 1200mm zoom!

It's also Parfocal and focuses throughout its range from 1.5m - Infinity on the gh2. There's not really anything out there in the world of full frame that compares.

Re.16mm cine lenses - from my experience - zooms work well.

I'm just curious to know how desirable the ex-tele sensor is to the community considering it doesn't moire/jelly? - There's this camera:

Ikonoskop dll Which shows perhaps how much you can get out of a small sensor without pursuing the Shallow DOF / wide angle holy grail.

I for one got the gh2 for two reasons - 1 usable auto-focus in film mode. 2 - ex-tele crop (i.e. - the one and only moire and jelly free hdslr)
