FS5: Bye Bye top handle... I think.

Just (I think) finished reconfiguring the top handle area of my FS5. Mainly small rig parts and Neewer Quick Releases. Interested if anyone else has gone down this kind of route and if so why and how... This setup now slots in the top of my Tenba 20L Video Roadie Backpack. I shoot run and gun stuff mostly hence the reasoning behind making it as compact as I can. Missing is my eye cushion which arrives tomorrow.

Does it still function as a top handle you can grab and shoot the camera with? It looks to cramped to really wrap your paws around.

Yep plenty of room with the screen either up or down for one 'paw'

I switch between them. I only ever need one go them at a time, that is a downside to this setup I agree. I just make sure I'm monitoring my audio.

Which eye cushion do you have coming for the FS5? I'd like to get one, but have no idea what would fit.
