I dont have much time till the Panasonic deal lapses. So all opinions are welcome.:dankk2:and if they can be soon that would be the ticket.

What do you want to use the camera for?

How often will you be using it?

Do you have any other equipment? You will have to rent it as well, if not.

If you rent, you may be able to add in the cost of rental into your gigs (depending)

If you buy, it's yours and you can do whatever you want to with it, whenever you want to :)

The other area to consider when renting is the insurance that you'll need to have to secure the rental.. or usually an additional 10-20 percent to cover it.

I do think that ramjet has the questions to be asking yourself as well!

Personally, I also think this is such a moderately priced camera that owning makes sense over renting unless it's a 1 time thing. I mean a 3 day rental would probably cost you a grand atleast..
