Buying used EX1 from US to Canada ?

Hi guys,

I am interested in buying an EX1 from someone in the states, the price is right and all, but we are still puzzled about how much it will cost once it hits the Canadian borders.

Also, is it OK to buy the camera or is it against the usually irrational policies of Sony Canada?

Anyone with a similar experience?

I have a friend here in Dallas, TX that wants to sell his EX-1. Prob only used it 3 times. has a 8 and 16 g cards. He mainly uses the bigger cameras and just didn't get any use out of it client wise at all. He said he has a possible buyer but is not a sure thing. I can get you his info if you want, as a back up?

As for buying over here, can you just pay by money order and ship fed ex straight to you house-no govt involvement?
 
I think some Duty and brokerage might apply, this is what I am asking about.

Wish someone from Canada who bought an EX1 from the states could shed some light...
