A client wants a monitor on the set .
I suppose ntsc tube or flat screen .
Any suggestion of online sources or where you would go the rent or buy an appropriate monitor in Los Angeles ?
Thanks
Bruce

If you want to rent: any on the video rental houses will have an appropriate monitor.
Birns & Sawyer is who I use first, but they're convenient for me.

My choise is to own mine. That way I know it's history and I can calibrate it and know its right.
As for a place to buy monitors in town, try EVS (evsonline.com), Birns should have them as well though.

Hello Bruce, a typical PVM-9L3 Sony 9" monitor rents for $70 a day, but mention that you are a DVXuser when you call and you will get 15% off the rental prices.

thanks for the good tip
does your store carry screen skins or transparent guides that fit over the side monitor of the dvx100a which give guide line field of view for 16x9 or 1:85
???
Thanks
Bruce
