I am looking to buy an HVX in a couple months and want to start doing my price shopping.
Can anyone suggest some retailers within a few hour radius? Or some good online sites to order from? I want to try and avoid getting nailed with massive duty fees.
Well I'm from Toronto as well and I feel your pain buddy...I'm assuming you've tried dvshop.ca, Terry's a good man he can hook you up, I got my HD100 there but I know the HVX is pretty pricey, so maybe Merkle Camera and Video, those are the top main retail spots. Forget about Vistek and Henry's, way too much.
If no luck then maybe try the Pacific mall, they got some goodies in there eventhough you have to go hunting for it. Other than that there are the unlisted video stores around the city, just go searching...
Oh and try Videoscope, I've never talked to there sales department but they should carry the HVX since they have pretty much everything else...
Yah, most of those stores I have checked out. I am thinking of going to to Buffalo and checking out stores down in the states. Would save an arm and a leg.
