Buying Gini Rig to Part Out?

I could use a few gini parts, and it seems like it might be more economical to buy an "Exteram" and sell whatever I don't need. Is this a good idea? I thought it might be helpful to people, maybe, if they were looking for parts.
 
I've been thing about doing the same thing, but I've noticed that when individual parts for gini rigs find their way to ebay, they never really sell. I'm wishing I had a few more more 90* clamps and ideally one of those new hummer baseplates. But I'm just waiting until gini comes up with a decent, new rig design. His latest seem to be fairly convoluted. The Exteram has a few nice things that I would want (clamps, baseplate, a couple of arms) but the pricing seems pretty wild at times.

I honestly wish I would have gotten the exteram in the first place. Wound up getting an i-yo which he doesn't make anymore? It's essentially a half cage w/ top handle + 2 handles. It's nice, but I wish it was more flexible like some of his earlier rigs.
