Buying DVX100b - theCameraProfessionals.com?

So i am looking into buying a dvx100b, NEW. I have read multiple posts on this site about gray market and authorized dealers, etc, etc. I''ve heard how such vendors like zoommania.com may be scam artists, fradulant, etc (even though i dont see how thats possible with legal ramifications, etc). I've also seen the authorized dealers list so don't point me there. What i am wondering is if anyone has used TheCameraProfessionals.com?? They sell a brand new DVX100b for only $1500 and they don't make you purchase some crazy accesory package which Im told i should avoid. So does anyone ahve comments about this dealer? They are VISA certified, multiple trusted seller, etc etc so i don't see how they would screw me. BUT any comments or advice is welcome and needed...
 
i can see what that guy is saying but if i call them and inquire about included equipment and it checks out and they give you all factory equipment, what would be wrong? i figure i wouldnt get a panasonic USA warranty but is anything else that would be wrong? I just dont get it i guess?

What about ebay? there are guys selling DVX100b's on Ebay for like $2500 w/ some extras

it even says there is a Manufacturer Warranty...

forget ebay. Buy it new from B&H.

If these people on the board warn you about some of these scams, you better listen. I'm sure a few have got scammed
 
B&H, EVS, Zotz to name a few. The old saying, "if it is to good to be true, then it probably is" is still a good one.

They will straight out lie to you on the phone and unless you're buying their overpriced accessories, the camera just won't be in stock--even though they told you it is.

Ebay is something of a crapshoot. You might end up with a warranty camera, but you might not...and then try to take it up with these ebay vendor.

The point is, don't trust what you read. There are good deals to be had, but when it's too good to be true, it is.
 
thanks a lot guys, i was basically figuring this out through searching but i still was a lilttle "what the" so i decided to ask for a straightout answer. got it. I am new here and i'll probably be asking more questions, be kind :D
