buying a used dvx100 in Marketplace?

Hi... I'm looking to buy a used dvx100(A)... I was wondering how it's typically handled here when you buy from another member. Even though it could be a great deal (opposed to not being able to justify the cost of a new one) it's still a bit scary hoping that a scam isn't being made, or that the camera is in truly good working condition. Does using paypal protect buyers at all for purchases from individuals, or using credit cards with protections? Or is it just the chance you take with these sorts of things? Thanks, Alan

Theres always a chance at losing money and risk. Look at their post history and see how active they are. Make sure you see if they have feedback from other places.

Use a credit card with paypal if possible.

Just demand paypal. I'm selling one (a DVX100) and wouldn't accept anything but cash in person from a local buyer or paypal - that way both parties are protected.
