Buying a used DVX

Hi, I'm new here and I want to buy a used DVX, I just want to know how much hours of use is reasonnable for a good used DVX. Thanks
 
I think anything below 300 is pretty good, of course I think their are other stuff you should be worried about.

Make sure its under warrantie, I've seen plenty of the Ebay auctions with dvx's still holding Mack Warrantie, and thats a great buy.
 
I have been told and it makes sense"What type of hours are on the camera?" They could be 100 hard hours or 100 babied hours, there's a difference...
 
I bought mine with 51 hrs on it and it works great.

I would talk to ther person you are buying it from. Ask to see some footage from the camera. Then you may get a chance to see what kind of conditions it was in during use.... just a thought
 
I got my DVX100 (non A or B) with 72 hours on it for $2000. I have nothing but praise for the camera thus far. :)
 
If someone has been using DV Rack with their Camera, the heads will have been spared a lot of the usual wear and tear.
 
yah for sure, i very rarely rewind/ff on the camera maybe over the past 2 years under 10times, lol, i'm very fussy when it comes to that ****. Thats what a playback deck is for, need to keep the heads in good shape.
