Buying a new GH1 ?

Hi,

I am about to buy a new Lumix GH1 for some video of events covering and since I heard that this camera is now unhackable, I was woundering if it was not a better choice to go for the canon 7D.

You just have to find a hacked one on ebay or in the DVXuser marketplace thread.

The gh13 SMOKES the canon 7D for video, but if you're going to be using the cam for stills as well, the 7d is a better stills camera.

If you've got the budget for GH2 + all the accessories, lenses etc. then I guess it seems daft not to (although we still don't know how it will compare to a hacked GH1). There are some stonking deals around for the GH1 at the moment, last week I bought a new GH1 + 14-140mm online for £680 (and another £25 off through a cashback site). Took a risk online, and chuffed when an 09 model turned up. So really, it just depends if you'll have to sacrifce anything important if you spend more money on the GH2?
