Buying a FS100, what is the best ND filter for it?

There are two versions. One "thin" version and one with front threads.

I had the LCW fader, not the new HD one, and it was junk. I could only get about 1/3 through the available range before the dreaded crosshatch X would start to appear, and the FL didn't matter. I had it on everything from 16mm on the 5d2 to 200mm and the results were terrible. It went back. Then a friend suggested the Singh-Ray, which he said he could go through the full range without the X, but it does vignette a bit toward the max end of the range. I bit the bullet and bought one and its been awesome. I can easily get 5 or 6 stops before the vignette starts to creep in on the adapted 16-50mm Sony lens. I haven't tried it on anything else yet as the Heliopan step up rings are pretty spendy and the Singh is a 77mm filter - I'm not messing with the crappy aluminum rings. I do have a ring for my Rokkors (gotta love that most of them are 55mm), but I haven't had the time to experiment yet. That will happen this week.
