Buying a DVX102BEN

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum, so i'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong section.
I am from The Netherlands and want to buy a DVX100. Since I'm a student and haven't got a lot of money to spend I am looking for a good price on the DVX100. I found a store from Belgium on Ebay that sells the DVX100, but they sell the model: DVX102BEN. On the site they say it's from Asia and it is also PAL, so I can use it here in The Netherlands. Is this true? And are there any differences with the PAL and NTSC version? I read that PAL has 25p and NTSC 24p, which should'nt be a problem, but is it true that the NTSC version has more framerates then the PAL? Like fastmotion and slowmotion rates?
I know these are a lot of questions for a firsttime poster, but I would really appreciate it if you guys could awnser a few of them...

Thanks in advance,

Fredric

P.S. What is a normal price for the DVX100, if possible, in Euro's?
P.S.S. Here is the link of the Ebay store.

The NTSC does have more frame rates simply because it does 30, 60 and 24. The Pal does 25 and 50. I don't think it matters really. Also, if you are in PAL land (Which you are) you DON'T want an NTSC version. It will be more hassle than it's worth I reckon, unless you're totally doing NTSC everything. You also get more resolution with the PAL version.

I don't know the price difference between the 100 and 100b, but the 100b has a few nice features, the biggest for me (Mine's on order at the moment) is The EVF and LCD are underscan, which means you see the ENTIRE frame, and not a cropped version like you do with most other cameras in this range.

Look at this link for a read on it. http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=36358

Thanks for the reaction.

I've still been looking around for where to buy a DVX in the Netherlands. I can't find any official dealers. Does anybody know a reliable dealer in the Netherlands? Or another place online where I can buy a DVX with an official warranty. Or do you think it's safe to buy a cam from Global Media Pro with the extended warrenty?
