Alright, so I have finally decided to take the plunge and purchase a DVX! I know there are tons of threads where people have probably said the exact same thing as me, and have the same questions but I figured I'd like to have my own and maybe get some other feedback. I'm a director/writer first and foremost, but I also have an interest in cinematography and one of the reasons I've decided to go with the DVX, like so many others, is that I feel it comes as close to the look of film as you can get within that price range. I'd like to get the most bang for the buck as possible and have been looking online (craigslist, ebay, here) for some package deal. I have it in my head that I'd really like to get a 35mm adapter when I get the camera, and I really like the look of the Letus Extreme. I've been trying to learn about adapters a bit more, but I still have a long ways to go before fully understanding them. So, what am I asking you say? I guess I just want to hear some opinions on what to look for to go with a DVX besides the basics. Also, another thing is I'd like to know about getting the adapter as far as what I need other than rails to get it working with a DVX. I have a Nikon D80 with two lenses and I can't figure out if I would be able to use them with my adapter or not, and if not what would be your suggestions for the best lenses to get. I'd like to stick with Nikon even if I can't use the ones I have.
Really any additional advice for a soon-to-be new DVX owner, would be much appreciated!
Thanks
