Panasonic has an amazing deal of the Varicam 2700. I'm not able to swing it myself but you may want to jump on it.
Here's the deal: Panasonic is offering the Varicam 2700 for under $20,000 with a qualified trade-in camera. List on this camera is around $40,000, so you save $20,000 off of list. (my guess is at least $10K off of street price).
This offer ONLY goes to the end of June!
I have a Sony Betacam that qualifies for the offer (2/3" chip broadcast camcorder, working condition, including viewfinder). It's a dockable "BVW 507" unit consisting of a BVP-7 camera head and a BVV-5 Betacam recording deck.
I'll sell it to you for $1500 including the camera, viewfinder and lens, which is a fair market price for this unit. You can keep it to use, or turn your $1500 into a $10 - $20k discount off of list price for one of Panny's newest Varicams.
EDIT: Shipping included. Make an offer on this camera, don't let the Panny discount slip away!
Guaranteed in working condition and to the best of my understanding will qualify for the rebate. Let's get this in your hands so you can trade up!
Pic's coming but really, it's not about this camera, it's about about the Varicam!!!
