Does anyone have any experience with this butterfly:

My question is, if you are using any fabric that lets light through, is the big middle support rod a big problem/issue in casting a shadow? I don't necessarily want a shadow of a rod (especially if it's close to the light source, the shadow might be stronger) when using a butterfly. Any feedback? I have two 8' x 8' butterflies from DJ, but I'm interested in something that can be put up and pulled down in a very short time in a mobile situation, so the ebay butterfly that supposedly can be up and down in 60 seconds is interesting - but only if it doesn't have shadow problems. I'd be interested in anything that's over 4' - so a 6' x 5' or 6' x 6 would be ideal, but FAST, FAST, FAST in action. Ideas?

I like the larger folding ones that come in a rough 4x6'. Much faster than using a frame and you don't have that support in the middle. On the other hand, a frame has a bit more stability in wind.

There is a little agency in town that bought a bunch of this stuff. "See we can shoot ourselves now." I stopped by a month later to pickup a check, and it was all heaped into a corner & broken.
