Burning Timecode issues

Hey guys,

I'm trying to burn a timecode to my sequence for a sound mixer.

My timeline is 23.98

Time code generator seems to have a 24 frames option not a 23.98 option. Time code reader I can't seem to edit the counter

I have 2 seconds of slug that im hoping to start the timecode at 00:59:58 then have the first frame of film start at 01:00:00

Any help is greatly appreciated

1) Make sure that your sequence starts before the hour mark, to include whatever leaders you need, and based on the TC you need displayed.*

2) Nest your sequence.

3) Apply TC filter to the nested sequence, but use it as a TC reader and not a generator.

FWIW, it's helpful to add a 5-second countdown with 2-pop. That gives your audio editor a failsafe sync point.


*As a default, I have all my sequences start at 00:58:30:00. That allows me to build in proper B&T, slate, countdown, etc. And it gives the proper TC if I need to make a BITC dub.
