burning a dvd

Okay so I have compressor but it keeps saying there's a background error, so this is out of the question. I don't have dvd studio pro so I can't use this either. So what is the best way to do it? I want 24p dvd and I have toast and dvd20nex (compressor). Am I able to do this using these programs? Also how would I export using fcp? I'm looking for the best quality possible and the length of the film is about 1/2 hour.

I didnt know you could have compressor and not have DVDSP? Doesnt sound like a legit version of FCS.

You can use toast to encode and burn not sure if it has 24p option.

Export it out of fcp as a self contained qt movie, current settings, and open it in idvd. That will work out a lot better than toast.
Compressor and no DVDSP, huh??

okay thanks. And yes my version of final cut pro is not I guess a "purchased" full version from the store. My uncle installed it on my computer because he's also an editor (much better then me). He had a blank disk and said there was no dvd sp though. So how could I refuse final cut pro for free. lol. Well I'm sure he purchased it though...Anyway he said he will install dvdsp some day. (I'm guessing it came on another disk...) Anyway, thanks for the help. Also, how will idvd burn it better?
