Went out today hoping to shoot something interesting. Figuring with Disjecta being gone and all, I could steal a march on him, so went to the woods...lots of birds singing, but they were apparently invisible birds. No little furry creatures running around, either. Weren't even any naked teenagers having sex in the bushes.

Anyone wants to see some grabs, go here: http://www.changedcrocodile.com/Films/26Mar/26Mar.html

No cc or anything...just...trees.

Oh, and for the ride back home, I propped the SteadyTracker behind the front seat and shot the road behind me. And automatically made a musical soundtrack with some software I wrote. But the clip is 32 MB, so you might not want to bother. Probably should have split it between the forest and the road...

Here's one grab -

what the heck happend to that tree? I vision two squirels running with a steady cam and his partner didn't watch his back so he ran into the tree and broke it. With that said, those squirels must be like 5 feet tall. :) okay, I have to stay off the crack!

I bet this would a perfect place for some sort of horror movie shoot.

What are those yellow things on the tree?

And there's a railroad track a little deeper in the woods...with trains every half hour or so. But folks get real upset if you're anywhere near them...

I'll go back in a little further into Spring/Summer...the wildlife should be more active. Almost ran into (literally) an eagle or falcon or some such raptor one day there. Scared the crap outa me.

And those yellow things...sometimes they're pink, sometimes little metal disks. As far as I can tell, they're markers to tell which trees to cut down.
