Building a Film HVX

So Im new to DVXUSER and I have to say that there are some REALLY smart and helpful folks on here. I've really learned alot from the postings here but it is all very confusing to me so I'm just going to straight up ask how I build a HVX200 that is the closest to a film camera. I'm a director and I'm looking to start a feature film so I want to shoot on a sick HVX200. First off the camera.

I'm looking to shoot with the HVX with an anamorphic 2:35:1 look. Also I need a steadycam system that can support that weight because I know the camera will be heavy. Getting this information is very important to me. Thank you.

#1 - This is the wrong section

#2 - You need cash. Loooots of cash. If you want a 'sick' HVX, then you'll be looking to put down about 20,000 buckarooneys on the camera alone. Lighting and audio along with the various other equipment you need will triple that.

#3 - Assuming you have all that down, then here's the HVX kit - The cadillac of HVX accessories:

Sgpro r3 (Personally, I believe that the Sgpro produces the best images around, and while the letus extreme produces great footage as well - personally i put down for the letus economy myself - the Sgpro's footage is really something else. It's unflipped though, so you might want the brevis flip unit as well due out sometime early next year.

Rails - Use the Zacuto rails. According to these boards, that's the best that money can buy.

Follow Focus - Hear some good things about the Redrock micro kit. Zacuto also has some top class follow focus sets on their site...I believe it's Chrosziel. You'll need whips and the various lens gears to work it right, and from what i've read, a speed crank is really useful.

Mattebox - Get a vocas mattebox. Seems to be the best.

Monitor - Siniarch's Carrion monitor seems to be great, and uses the same screen as the panasonic one which costs 3 times as much. You'll be looking to pick up a noga or israeli arm to support this monitor and keep it on your camera.

Tripod - Sachtler dv6. Hear nothing but good stuff about that one.

For steadicam use, you'd probably not want to use it with your huge 35mm adaptor and stuff on, so I'll say the merlin with vest and arm kit would do fine. Or you could put down on the steadicam flyer. Glidecam makes some good stuff too.

Lastly, make good friends with the loan department of your bank:p
