Hey gang,
Ran into a puzzling problem on a shoot last weekend. We had two 5Dmk2's on set, and one of them kept having a buffer problem when it was attached to the monitor. The cards we were using weren't great, but we switched them out and still had the same problem. The other 5D was fine, and on the one that was having problems, it was only when an external marshall 7" field monitor was attached.
I'm still leaning to the coincidence that both cards we used (I believe one was a sandisk and one was a kingston) were of poor quality or just old, and since the other camera worked fine with the monitor I didn't really bother running many tests to troubleshoot the issue, just wanted to pop on here and see if anyone could offer a suggestion as to what was going on. Perhaps some option buried in the menu was flipped on causing the problem?
