Between the HVX, HPX and VariCam
which camera would you choose based on
a four week shoot with
a 100k budget?
150k budget?

HPX500 you get 1080P and a stop more light sensitivity. it will help you out in the G&E department.

That's a pretty broad question. A lot would depend on your budget breakdown. How much do you have allocated for the camera department?

Look, When you have lowbudgets to work with, the more light sensitive a camera you can use the better. If you can start off with a 1K tungsten base instead of a 5k baseline you can save yourself tons of money by not needed generators as quickly as you would with a camera that needs more light.

IF youre lighting night interiors, 4 1k's, a 2k, and a bunch of 650's will go along way, if youre shooting ISO is 500+.

However when using an iso 100 system, liek a HVX/SGpro/Brevis/Letus suddenl thoes lights need to be twice as bright, even three times as bright for the same exposure. Now you need 1.2k HMI units, and all the added rental cost that goes with it.

The HPX500 is like night vision. Utilise it. Rent some good Digiprimes, and go for it....
