Bud Light Spec Commercial

Hi Brandon.

Good concept.

I think the spot is too long. It didn't have a clock but I timed it out at 32 or 33 seconds. Spec spots need to be exactly 30 seconds. No more. No less.

The shopkeeper's dialogue sounds too ADRed. And you need to go in and remove the Corona neon light. It looks like you covered up the Budwiser neon but left the Corona up. Finally, you should capture higher resolution footage of the Bud tag. Other than that, good job.
 
exactly the feedback i wanted! yeah i know those are the things i wanted to get finished with but im getting soooo tired of working on it! :(
 
good work but with all their concentration on shelf sets and first in flow, they won't like the fact that he didn't know where the BL was.
You'd be surprised what the pick apart in a pitch.
 
The picture looks pretty good. I could see a tighter CU of the big guy, maybe some more coverage to make it more interesting visually. The music seems pretty low in the mix, so I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be a soundtrack to the spot, or "in store" background music. I'm also not sure if Bud would want to say that their clientele are criminals! :) The other thing is, and maybe this wasn't intentional, but you're really propagating a completely derogatory stereotype of an asian person here. The media is pretty sensitive to how minorities are portrayed these days, especially in the comedic realm.
 
It looks real real ADR'd. Agree that the asian guy stereotype is bad.

Also the cut from the counter to the very back of the store felt too sudden.

Good concept though.
 
technically the length should be 28 seconds. once produced you have the leader with the 2 second beep which brings it to 30.
