I use a power book for my editting, and I have heard of Canon's Console Software, DV-PC Recorder, and the blue barn pictures which I believe are all for PCs. I came across BTV Pro which seems Mac friendly and can be used to capture, monitor and do other stuff for DV cameras.

I was wondering if anyone has used this or heard about it in the past (with the XL2 [preferablly] or any camera)? And are these types of programs worth the time for the features they offer?
The Console Software seems like it would be better because you can control the image adjustment controls through the computer so someone can be the image technician and the DP doesn't have to worry about scrolling through the menus to make adjustments, but it is for PC computers.
Any thoughts or experiences with programs like these is appreciated.
