Hey everyone,
I recently shot a very short "film" (2.5 minutes) for an online contest using my HV20 and I was quite satisfied with the capabilities and results of the camera.
It was shot entirely in 24p mode with Shutter Priority at 60. The exposure was locked only on certain shots to give them a more unique visual look (i.e. extra sunlight). One thing I did try to do was use contrasting white balance modes between the sequences - the "flashback" scenes were shot in Tungsten mode, and the "present day" scenes in Shade mode. It worked well with the filters I placed on the footage during post.
Also, 96% of the footage was converted to slow motion which also happen to produce some interesting results. It would have been ideal for me to have shot certain scenes in 60i, but I simply didn't have enough time.
So please let me know what you think about the movie, I really hope that I will at least make the top 10 finalists. Thanks!
