Broken Tripod Mount

Well, I just got my new lightly used DVX in the mail. And the Bolt/mount for the tripod id cracked in half. (I was aware of this prior to purchase) I thought I may be able to rig something up. Anyone had this problem? An Idea of how much to get it fixed?
I was thinking of rigging up a C shaped device and attaching it to the top handle.
Either way i'm stoked because I just got a DVX!
 
Yes, I found that article. If they do not sell them anymore I shoud have no problem making one. Thanks to all,,
