Broken Mounting Plate

Hey guys
I have a dvx102b the pal version for Australia and recently my tripod mounting plate just fell out and my camera fell off the tripod! Has anyone else had similar problems?
I reattached it but now the screws dont tighten properly they float at the back and it has since fallen off again. Help! is this covered by warranty i have had the camera for 6 months.

sorry to hear your cam took a nasty spill its happened to me too but it was my fault. you need to look into this http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=30357&highlight=base+plate ulisses makes them i have one and trust me its the best buy ive ever bought for my cam.
