Broken Manual Focus

I picked up a DVX 100B open box but with 0.00 hours on the heads about 6 months ago. It worked fine until last week, when the manual focus stopped working. The auto focus is fine as well as the rest of the camera, but now the focus ring does not move as smoothly as before and it just simply does not work. I am a freshman film student at Hofstra University in new york and this camera is my baby, I love it very dearly and want to find out what is wrong with it. Any ideas folks?

i droped mines and broke the gears inside if you take the lense off you will see the teeth but be real careful theres a control ribbon attached to one of the rings try this site its called manual focus ring http://abelcine.com/store/search.php?mode=search

Did you make sure the switch in front is not still on servo mode and not manual.
