broken HVX... any ideas?

So over the last month, my HVX200 has been acting odd. Sometimes it won't turn off without removing the battery. Sometimes the MENU button doesn't work or other buttons. It will also sometimes do random REC CHKs while on standby. Today, while on standby, the frame in the viewfinder froze. I tried turning it off and back on but it wouldn't turn back on. The slot light beside the P2 card will flash and the CAMERA indicator light will turn on but the viewfinder/LCD is completely blank/black. Does anyone have an idea what I'm in for when I take it to a repair shop? The camera is only about 15 months old.

I've seen similar posts on this forum if you do a search. I don't know what the fix was, but for your piece of mind...it is fixable... If it's the same thing.
I'm sure you'll get responses from others soon.
